To keep up with changing times, at least one soap opera has begun using “web-based” spin-offs. Now, fans watch by using their DVRs, watching online, and even using streaming services like Hulu Plus. You don’t have to struggle with the VCR not taping episodes. You no longer have to be at home by a certain time to catch the soap. Soap opera spoilers indicate that times are changing, technology is advancing, and so are the ways that fans watch.
